Check your Student E-mail Account Often!
E-mail is now the official means of communication with students. Every student has the responsibility to recognize that certain communications may be time-critical and to check their university e-mail on a regular basis. Please activate your e-mail promptly and check it often. A student’s failure to receive and read university communications in a timely manner does not absolve that student from knowing and complying with the content of such communications.
Statement of Student Responsibility
Your education is important and represents a large investment of time and money. In order to attend the University of Connecticut, students who register:
- Assume responsibility for tuition and fees generated from that registration. Even if a parent, family member or third party pays the bills, the student is responsible to know the details of the financial obligations incurred and to ensure full compliance with those obligations.
- Assume responsibility of full payment of all room, board and miscellaneous charges, if applicable.
- Maintain an accurate and current mailing address for any University mailings. Check your email on a frequent basis. Failure to receive a bill, acknowledge email and review the e-bill online does not relieve responsibility of timely payments.
