UConn Bookstore Programs

Husky Book Bundle Program

Through a partnership with the UConn Bookstore, Husky Book Bundle allows students to receive required course materials for all classes for a flat fee, regardless of how much each individual textbook or digital access would cost to rent or purchase separately. The rental fee is $285 per semester. This an opt-out program and all eligible students will automatically be enrolled and charged the rental fee.  The opt-out portal opens 30 days prior to the start of the semester and closes on the 10th day of classes.  Students are encouraged to delay opting-out until they receive all course syllabi and required materials to then determine if the program is financially beneficial. The charge has an extended due date (11th day of the classes) to accommodate additional time to determine to opt-out or remain in the program.

For full information on the program including FAQs, please visit:https://bookbundle.program.uconn.edu/

Who is eligible?

The program is currently offered for full-time undergraduate students only. Students participating in Study Abroad programs for the full-semester are not eligible.

How do I opt out?

All eligible students will automatically be enrolled in the program.  The opt-out period begins 30 days prior to the first day of class and the last day to opt-out is the 10th day of classes each semester.  To opt-out of the program, please log into the Bookstore's portal.  Please allow up to 72 hours for the charge to reverse off your fee bill.  Students are encouraged to delay opting-out until they receive all course syllabi and required materials to then determine if the program is financially beneficial.  Please note, the Husky Book Bundle charge has an extended due date of the 11th day of classes each semester to accommodate additional time to opt-out.

How will I be charged?

The $285 flat fee will be automatically included on students’ semester tuition fee bill.

Can I use my financial aid to pay for this fee?

Federal loans and grants can apply to this charge only if the Title IV waiver is completed prior to the aid disbursing (week before start of the semester). The Title IV waiver allows federal aid to apply to miscellaneous fees, such as Husky Book Bundle.  To submit the waiver, log into Student Admin and navigate to the Bursar Services tile > Waivers.
